This year starting on November 1st we made a "Grateful Tree" and then everyday throughout the month we wrote one thing we were grateful for and hung it on our "tree." The boys LOVED it and Collin decided to be the grateful police and make sure everyone wrote something everyday!:) I forgot to take a picture of the finished product but here is our list of things we were grateful for this month...
Woot, pictures, food, sleeping in, trees, family, bike, our spouse, fishing,
helmets, school, electricity, Holy Ghost, fall, bats, crayons, friendly strangers, candy, exercise, lights, pop, hot tubs, elves, healthy bodies, pepsi, Spring, mom, ambulances, friends, policemen, temple, kindness, books, love, movies, dad, cats, BSU football, math, Winter, cookies, sunshine, rain, turtles, Gospel, hats, snow, church, food, clean house, Jesus, firetrucks, brothers, sisters, popcorn, BSU, shirts, paint, holidays, t.v, house, free agency, technology, hot chocolate, reading, flowers, turkey, vacation, date night, animals, jobs, Thanksgiving, cereal, work, and playdough.
These are just some of the things we listed. I was proud of my boys and the thoughtfulness they put into each thing they listed. I didn't help any of them! It was a good thing to help us reflect on things that are important to us. Now hopefully we can remember these things year round and not just the month of November.:)
