For those of you who don't know, my brother Braden is serving a mission in Belo Horizonte Brazil right now. He got out of the CTM the beginning of August and his first area is in a Ward with a Bishop Moura. Well, 2 weeks ago our ward here in Meridian got a new set of missionaries. Elder Halle from Springfield, Missouri and a Elder Moura from Belo Horizonte Brazil! CRAZY! Come to find out the bishop of the ward that my brother is in is the dad of the Elder Moura that is in our ward here! WOW!!!! Small world! Anyways! Bishop Moura had told Elder Moura that one of his missionaries had a sister that lived in Meridian and so he had heard about us. So after church last week we went and introduced ourselves and told them if they ever wanted dinner to let us know. So Monday night at 9:30 they called and asked if we could feed them Tuesday night! It was awesome! Both of the Elders are so funny and it was so cool that we had a connection with one of them! And even weirder is that Elder Moura came to Idaho on June 3rd and my brother left for Brazil that very same day! They just switched places for 2 years!!! Anyways it was fun to listen to Elder Moura tell us all about his ward back home and about his family and for a second I felt like I was right there with Braden on his mission! Missionary work is awesome! And it is so cool that we can have these connections with other LDS people all around the world!

Okay, that made me cry. That is so cool!! It is amazing how the Lord orchestrates these kind of things and how much they mean to us. Awesome!! Mom Manning
Brittany, that is a really cool story. I have been so impressed by Elder Moura. He bore his testimony two weeks ago, and then spoke last Sunday...he is really powerful and I"m glad you have that connection with him and your brother.
